Entrevista do físico José Goldenberg à revista Época neste fim de semana está causando polêmica. Em especial, pela manchete: "O Brasil quer a Bomba Atômica".
Na entrevista em si, Goldenberg não é tão contundente. Reúne aqui e ali pistas e declarações que formariam os "motivos" para o Brasil querer a bomba.
No entanto, apesar das ressalvas, a entrevista é um delírio. O Brasil não quer a bomba atômica. Aliás, se quisesse já teria feito. Não faltam recursos e nem tecnologia para tal. Difícil é fazer o motor a propulsão nuclear. A bomba, em si, é algo antigo.
No entanto, politicamente o Brasil não quer nem deve entrar no clube dos donos de bomba. Deve sim, ter a condição técnica e teórica de poder fazer.
Porém, é muito mais importante desenvolver outras tecnologias e, sobretudo, trabalhar no campo internacional pelo banimento das armas nucleares.
Ao insinuar que o Brasil quer a bomba, a matéria da Época reforça uma outra - esta sim, uma imensa colagem de bobagens, da revista alemã Der Spiegel.
